Materials needed
✓ A printed A3 image “The Big and the Small”.
If it isn’t possible, bring a white board and an appropriate marker / a big sheet of paper and the appropriate marker
✓ Writing material (pens and paper)
✓ A table where all participants may sit around

✓ Indoor location ideally with a big table and chairs
Steps
1.
A large print of the image “the small and the big” is presented to the group (or alternatively, drawn by the facilitator on a white board) (1 minute).
2.
Participants are asked to observe the picture. Keep silent: It is recommended to avoid feedback and discussions! (2 minutes)
3.
Inspired by the picture, the participants write freely for 20 minutes (20 minutes).
4.
Reading and feedback: The participants read their text to the plenary. The group is encouraged to give feedback on each text; the feedback should focus on the feelings (or memories) provoked by the text (25 minutes).
